affect between one-third and one-half of the population of the UK, yet the American Psychological Association, consider hypnotherapy is likely to be effective for most people suffering from diverse forms of pain. This is supported by an ever-increasing amount of strong research evidence showing the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in treating a wide range of pain types and management applications. Clients can also learn how to apply self-care and use pain management techniques both within self-hypnosis and in the alert state. This empowers the client to enhance their own quality of life and enables them to relieve their discomfort part beyond the therapy session.
